Yakisugi Water Oak Fruit Bowl - Naturally Warped

Yakisugi finish on a water oak bowl. This piece was allowed to warp as it naturally dried creating more of an oval shape to the bowl. It has a phenomenal textured finish that creates deep contrast to the inner grain. A natural bark inclusion sits on the rim, showing the perfect imperfections that can be found with urban wood. At its longest point the bowl is about 7.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. This is a food safe bowl, but liquid is not suggested as oak wood is naturally porous and could leak.
